3. Preparing Lady Anne for running - filling the boiler

Filling the boiler with water
A syringe and plastic pipe is used for filling the boiler.
The boiler is filled through a filling plug in the boiler.

Only distilled water (or rain water) is used. Do not use deionized water at it might cause long term damage to the boiler and fittings.

The boiler is filled with 250 ml of water. When full 30 ml of water is withdrawn with the syringe in order to provide space above the water when steam is raised.
