Large Scale Live Steam Operation
Garden railroading is the combination of a model railroad and a beautiful garden to create a railway-like atmosphere The German firm Lehmann introduced G scale trains in the 1960's, with a trade name of LGB (which translated means Lehmann Big Railway). These trains were designed specifically with outdoor use in mind.
G scale is essentially the modeling of 1000 mm narrow gauge railway (Gauge IIm) on track 45 mm wide - the same as gauge 1, but gauge '1' models are of standard gauge railways.
The quality and variety of LGB products is almost legendary and such has been their success that many other manufacturers have entered the scene, legendary is also "Live steam" from Roundhouse.

Electric driven and "Live Steam" can be operated on the same tracks when the live steam is fitted with isolated wheels.
LGB and Roundhouse G Scale products are long-lasting and reliable, and generally weatherproof making them ideal for outdoor operation.
