Modular Locomotive System - Roundhouse Kits HBK12 -- R/C Fitting Kit |
Roundhouse HBK12 R/C fitting kit for Billy does contain all necessary
brackets , fixings etc. to enable the builder to fit his own
radio equipment. Hitec Ranger II 40MHz FM radio equipment Roundhouse locomotives are fitted as standard with 'Hitec' or 'Futuba' radio equipment and all fixings and brackets are designed for this. A two channel radio control set complete with transmitter, receiver, switch harness and two micro servo's (Hitec HS-81 micro servos or equivalent) - standard or mini servo's will not fit correctly. Only two channels are needed - one servo for operating the Walschaerts reversing gear. and one servo for steam regulator. AM of FM radio We find that the FM R/C equipment is less prone to outside interference and that causes 'glitching' than the AM sets and although more expensive it is worth the additional cost. |
The HS-81 and HS-81MG are among
Hitec’s most popular servos.
Available in both resin and metal
gear versions. With a fine balance
between speed and torque, the
HS-81’s were designed to be both
economical and reliable.
